Cell state and state reported in "list" command can differ #16
Example: Ran a complete cycletest on a cell. After it finished, the cell entered IDLE mode. Manually ran "discharge 0 3.7" to discharge the cell. It is discharging according to the LED pattern and the decreasing voltage over time (through "measure 0"), but still shows as IDLE in "list":
list
PORT SERIAL ACTIVE
==================
/dev/ttyACM0 262173 Active :
Channel 0 : IDLE
Channel 1 : TESTING my_cell_1010 Runtime: 0:24:18.607402 State: PRECHARGE
Channel 2 : TESTING my_cell_1008 Runtime: 0:24:07.387383 State: PRECHARGE
Channel 3 : TESTING my_cell_1009 Runtime: 0:23:55.022723 State: PRECHARGE

This is expected behavior. The test manager is only invoked when you
use the test commands 'cycletest' or 'dischargetest'. The 'discharge'
command is a lower level command that simply tells the batlab to start
discharging --- it does not interact with the test manager or start logging
data. You may, however, use the 'measure' command to see that the cell is
currently discharging.
Note that the 'list' command shows the status of tests as controlled by the
test manager. While the 'measure' commands reads the measurements
directly off of the Batlab.

Thanks, makes sense. I will re-read existing documents and maybe add some to clarify that if it's not already there.
