Documentation on how to use property_propname for event endpoint #320

Open

Description

@raphaelvarieras

Would somebody be kind enough to provide some clarity on how to leverage property_propname in a get_page call to get specific properties of an event?

    Hey @raphaelvarieras. The property_propname is used as a filter to select events based on the specified property. Unfortunately, this functionality in the SDK is not working as expected at the moment. We are planning to fix it as soon as possible. However, I can provide a cURL example demonstrating how it should work.
    Example curl:

    `https://api.hubapi.com/events/v3/events/?objectType=contacts&objectProperty.email=some_email@some.com&eventType=e_registered_marketing_event&property.hs_marketing_event_origin=online`

    Any update on a fix for this? The code is broken in the Python SDK. Namely events_api.py lines 181-184:

    if local_var_params.get("object_property_propname") is not None: # noqa: E501 query_params.append(("objectProperty.{propname}", local_var_params["object_property_propname"])) # noqa: E501 if local_var_params.get("property_propname") is not None: # noqa: E501 query_params.append(("property.{propname}", local_var_params["property_propname"])) # noqa: E501

    Obviously using "property.{propname}" as the literal query string param isnt going to work.

    Same issue, a year later - same problem with object_property_propname is there a fix incoming?
