Equatorial Guinea's capital is out of date.
scripts/data/countries.py:29Equatorial Guinea: Malabo → Ciudad de la Paz. Sources: https://www.financialafrik.com/en/2026/01/06/equatorial-guinea-officially-changes-its-capital/ , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ciudad_de_la_PazEquatorial Guinea made the change by presidential decree in January 2026, with a one-year transition for government institutions.
The four generated files that carry the capital (
api/countries/gq,gq.json,index,index.json) come frompython3 -m scripts.generate(Python 3.12.3), and all four still parse as JSON. The same run also rewrote 19api/unicode-*/indexfiles,api/index,api/index.jsonandsitemap.xml, and added two newapi/unicode-page-*directories. Those changes come from Python's Unicode data, not from this change, so they are left out of this PR.AI disclosure: prepared with Claude Code (Claude Opus 5.5), which found the outdated entries, checked them against the sources above, and made the edits.
