  1. The export modal printed a failed render's body verbatim (a platform 500 = the whole Next.js error page in red). Now one readable line, and a non-JSON 5xx is retried once after 3 s.
  2. Videos print values under a second in ms (0 s → 420 ms), for every composition (all go through formatValue). COMP_VERSION → v29-ms.

Checks: tsc, bun test src/; formatter checked on 0, 0.004, 0.14, 0.42, 0.9996, 1.4, 12, 75 s.

…s in ms

A failed render printed the response body verbatim, so a platform 500
(a staging deploy swapping under the request, 2026-10-22) filled the
modal with the whole Next.js error page in red. The modal now prints one
line per failure (status, our route's error code, a hint) and retries a
non-JSON 5xx once after 3 s; the renderer caches by payload, so a retry
after a render that did finish returns at once.

In the videos, seconds under one now print as milliseconds: "0 s" read as
a dead feed when Solana's finality fell under a second with Alpenglow,
and 440 ms beside 420 ms ranks more easily than 0.44 s beside 0.42 s.
COMP_VERSION bumped so cached renders are not reused.
