The page carries a backlink and showed a single row, which is why it went noindex as thin content. The harness was configured with three providers all along and its comment still said "3 keyless providers"; two of them had stopped answering and only drpc ever reached the page. Neither was a dead project. rpc.etcdesktop.com serves a certificate that does not cover that hostname, while etc.etcdesktop.com answers normally, so that was a hostname error on our side. etcmc.rpc.nz has no DNS record anywhere and is replaced by ETC Network. Both replacements were probed with the call the bench actually makes, eth_getBlockByNumber, not a liveness ping, and all three returned the same head (0x1852588) before inclusion. That distinction mattered: 61.rpc.thirdweb.com answers eth_chainId with 0x3d and then fails eth_getBlockByNumber with an internal error, so a chainId check alone would have admitted a provider that cannot serve the benchmark. Three providers clears the under-3 gate, so the page becomes indexable again. etcdesktop ships without a logo and renders initials. Their site's only logo asset is assets/img/logo/home2.png, a website template's placeholder, and publishing that as their brand would be worse than initials. ETC Network publishes a real mark and it is committed. go build and go vet clean, pnpm validate clean, tsc clean, 515 tests pass.

#2931 merged an empty squash: I committed this work on an already-merged release branch and then opened the PR from a different branch that had nothing new. The commit was never pushed. This is the actual change.
The finding
The page carries a backlink and showed a single row, which is why it went noindex as thin content. The harness was configured with three providers all along and its comment still said "3 keyless providers". Two had stopped answering, so only
drpcever reached the page.Neither was a dead project:
rpc.etcdesktop.comserves a certificate that does not cover that hostname, whileetc.etcdesktop.comanswers normally. A hostname error on our side, not an outage.etcmc.rpc.nzhas no DNS record anywhere. Replaced by ETC Network. All three now return the same head,
0x1852588.A trap worth recording
61.rpc.thirdweb.comanswerseth_chainIdwith0x3dand then failseth_getBlockByNumberwith an internal error. A chainId-only check would have admitted a provider that cannot serve the benchmark. Everything here was probed with the call the bench actually makes. Second time today thirdweb behaved this way; the same shape failed on Swellchain.Three providers clears the under-3 gate, so the page becomes indexable again.
One deliberate omission
